Ron Recchio Middle School Library

Hours of Operation: 

The library offers flexible scheduling in order to serve the greatest number of students and staff.  Teachers may reserve the library spaces and computers on a first come, first serve basis.

Circulation Hours:

8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m and 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Mission:

The mission of the Ron Recchio Middle School Library is to support &extend the classroom environment, empower learners, and provide educational opportunities through which all students may reach their full potential and become life-long readers and discriminating consumers of information. 

In furtherance of this mission, the school library strives to:

1. Collaborate with teachers to create and conduct engaging learning experiences that further the school’s core curriculum needs;
2. Counsel and instruct students and educators in gathering, evaluating, producing, and communicating information and ideas;
3. Provide access to high-quality materials in a variety of formats, both print and online, that are well organized and easy to locate;
4. Provide students and staff with consultation, instruction, and resources that reflect current and future information needs;
5. Promote literacy in a positive, supportive, inviting environment that is conducive to developing and strengthening a love of reading.
